Healthy You-Eat Better, Feel Better
The 21 Days Challenge designed by Julie is a very good program where one not only focuses on daily exercise but also eating healthy food. The program, because of its exercises which push you every day to try harder and complimented with Julie’s healthy recipes, kept us motivated to do more, be energetic, flexible and agile.
Saumitra’s story – I started working out with Julie early this year which helped to increase my strength. However due to work pressure, I was not able to focus on following good eating habits, sleeping on time and keeping a regular exercise routine. Due to this I was also not able to lower my BMI. My game (cricket) was affected as I was not able to score runs and keep wickets properly. Julie suggested that I take up the 21 days challenge and follow the exercises, food and regular sleeping pattern. From end of week 1, I started seeing results where I improved my focus at work, lost 2 kilos and lowered my BMI. The first cricket match that I played after week 2, I scored half century! The second match I played after week 3, I did my best wicket keeping of the season taking 6 wickets, which included 4 catches and two stumps. This was due to improvement in my reflexes, due to the daily 10 minutes work-out, which helped me move quickly.
Avani’s story – When I was not able to lose weight even after working with Julie for a few months, she asked me if I was eating right. When I described my food, she mentioned I wasn’t getting enough nutrients. I have always prided myself on eating a balanced meal so was unable to understand what she meant. The amount of colours and food variety consumed everyday on the 21 Days Challenge made me realise what I was missing! The food portions prescribed under the challenge did not leave me feeling tired or hungry. The 10 minute work-out blast is easy to make time for and left me feeling energised for the full day. Overall, the challenge helped me to get rid of my addiction to sweets as well as reduce my food portions. It has improved my strength, stamina, flexibility, and best of all, drop a dress size.
We have both continued with our changed lifestyle even after the 21 Days Challenge. It gave us the impetus to kick-start healthy eating and regular exercising. These are a few simple changes which we have been easily able to include in our daily lifestyle. In fact, in the latest cricket match, Saumitra scored a hat-trick and also has been told that he is the fastest bowler on the team currently! And I think the best part is that we have lifetime access and can jump back when we feel the need for a refresher.
